Walking and Gallery Tours
Daily Highlights Tour
Guided gallery tours, included with Museum admission, are offered Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. only. The Captain Elias Davis House (1804) is open for tours with a docent guide or private tours only—please call (978)283-0455 x110 or email [email protected] to inquire.
Walking Tours
The Museum offers a variety of walking tours in and around Cape Ann on Saturday mornings from May through September; past tours have included Fitz Henry Lane On Foot and Online and Edward Hopper's Houses. Museum admission is included with the cost of these tours. In addition, the Museum offers gallery tours and walking tours that are designed to complement our special exhibitions. Past walks have included Rockport Artists' Studios of the 1930s, A Historical Walk through Annisquam Village and John Sloan's Dogtown.
Group Tours
One hour docent-led guided tours of the collections are available for private groups.
Choose from: Highlights of the Collection (covers 18th c. portraits to contemporary art and the fisheries and maritime and granite galleries); Fitz Henry Lane (1804-1865 - Luminist marine painter of the historic seaport city of Gloucester); or the Captain Elias Davis House (1804 Federal style home of the seafaring Davis Family). Self-guided group tours are also available.
