School Partnerships
The Cape Ann Museum strives to be a partner in education by creating collection and classroom based programs that meet Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and supports individual class learning objectives. Our experienced museum educators collaborate with school faculty to customize museum visits, classroom instruction, and multisession programs. School partnership programming may include subject specific tours, art making, writing programs, and archival and primary source exploration. Museum educators can develop programs for various disciplines, including art, history, writing and language arts, and STEM.
Examples of partnership program include:
- Reading Art Series
- Lighthouses of Cape Ann and the Fresnel Lens
- O’Maley Innovative Middle School After School Program: STEAM Explorers
- Annual Community Arts Program with all eighth graders on Cape Ann
