Gloucester Daily Times: Plows to painting: Hundreds visit downtown for So Salty event

Hundreds braved the cold to enjoy the third annual “So Salty” celebration that filled the weekend with everything from music to art and activities that make the winter enjoyable.

The free family-friendly programs on Saturday and Sunday included ice cream-making, ice sculptures, treats, children’s art activities and much more around downtown Gloucester. There were poetry readings, sea-shanty singing and shell painting, and some downtown stores offered special discounts.

Cape Ann Museum partnered with Discover Gloucester and other area cultural institutions and businesses to present the event.
