Cape Ann COSMOS: In Her Mind's Eye- Doris Elizabeth Prouty

The 2022 season at Cape Ann Museum Green will kick off with an exhibition by Doris Elizabeth Prouty (1947-2020), who lived and quilted in Gloucester for over 40 years.
As a self-taught African American quilter working in vibrant colors, shapes and patterns, Prouty's quilts capture the stories of her life and community on Cape Ann, with her quilt designs evolving over the years to include contemporary and social themes.
