CAM (Re)Connects

In March 2020, the Cape Ann Museum in concert with cultural institutions around the world shut its doors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the closure, the Museum pursued a range of innovative and community-focused initiatives and revamped its virtual programming and outreach to better stay in touch with members and friends. CAM’s collections and the broad array of themes they represent provided fertile ground for creative and inspiring virtual offerings.
CAM (Re)Connects features many of the objects and works of art spotlighted in the Museum's virtual outreach shared over the past six months under the banner CAM Connects. The exhibition, in mirroring content shared virtually, covers a broad range of subjects, from Fiesta and the fishing industry to writers of Cape Ann and printmaking. Together these themes provide a sense of the rich and varied story that is Cape Ann. They also underscore the versatility of the Museum’s collection.
