A. Ross Burton

1911 - 1970

(Alexander) Ross Burton was born in Newton, Massachusetts, to Alfred and Lena Burton. He was the brother of Virginia Lee Demetrios. Burton attended the Wentworth Institute and the Boston Museum School. He married Folly Cove Designer Hilja (Johnson) Burton. In 1953, he and Hilja opened Burton’s Silver Shop in Rockport.
