Ida Corliss

1906 - 1995

Ida Corliss was born in Gloucester to Anton S. and Ida M. (Easterling) Fredriksen, Norwegian and Swedish immigrants. She graduated from Gloucester High School and had two children from her first marriage, Frank and Stephen. In 1943, she married C. Christopher Corliss and they had a daughter Christina. Ida was a member of the Folly Cove Designers in the early 1940s. From 1949 to 1971 she and her husband operated the Oleana Scandinavian Coffee Shop in Rockport.
